The Tea Party’s Dejection Philosophy

So I appeal to all the candidates who are aspiring to be the next President of our country; please stop the dejection philosophy but adopt a ‘can do’ attitude. Tell us that you want to improve, how you intend to better our education system, our health care system, our regulatory systems, instead of telling us you will simply ‘get rid of’ them.

Fox News Hits A New Low: Criticizing Obama Over His Use Of A Binder Clip

It’s so stupid that it can’t be true, right? Well, it is true. Fox News has hit a new low. In another desperate attempt to criticize anything the President does, the folks on Fox and Friends yesterday morning criticized President Obama for using a binder clip on his copy of the American Jobs Act plan he held in his hand during a speech outside the White House. Apparently, it wasn’t fancy enough for them.

Wisconsin Wire: State Troopers Arrest Protesters For Silently Filming, One Injured

Today was a very interesting day to say the least. The Senate saw two new Senators sworn in, Senator Schilling and Senator King. This was a joyous time, the people have spoken, and although we likely had two of the recall elections stolen (statistically argued by exit polls as being much more likely than not), it was great to see two more Senators sworn in that we can hold accountable.

Rand Paul Says The Poor Are Getting Richer Despite Record Number Of Americans Falling Into Poverty

Rand Paul has once again stuck his foot in his mouth. Despite the fact that Americans are falling into poverty in record numbers, Senator Paul, son of Ron Paul, says that the poor are getting rich. He also claimed that there is no correlation between poverty and death and that to claim that there was such a connection is nothing more than ‘socialism’ and ‘tyranny.’

Republican Representative Steve King Admits That Republicans Are Just ‘Hanging On’ Until A New President Is Elected

Now it’s clear. Republicans are holding back on passing bills to help the country until a new President is elected. It’s all about holding the general welfare of the nation hostage. Republican Steve King of Iowa has admitted as much in a new statement made in the wake of President Obama introducing the American Jobs Act.

Michele Bachmann: Pro-Choice?

The fact is, there is not much difference in these cases. Either way, government is forcing a certain group of people to do something that they may not want to do. This exchange between the candidates is a fantastic example of the hypocrisy of the right wing. You can’t complain about government taking away choice, and then turn around and advocate taking away someone’s choice. But that’s exactly what Republicans want to do.

The GOP Cares More About Rebuilding Iraq Than Rebuilding America

Republicans have no sympathy whatsoever for those affected by these disasters. They simply refuse to approve the funding necessary to rebuild America unless spending cuts are made to offset it. But apparently, they were perfectly willing to approve $50 billion of funding to rebuild Iraq, and they didn’t call for a single dollar in cuts to offset it.
