Donald Trump was hoping to visit the FBI for a photo-op in the wake of firing FBI Director James Comey.
Agents who are working on the investigation fear they will be transferred to other departments and that their work will be discontinued.
According to the New York Times, “As they ate, the president and Mr. Comey made small talk about the election and the crowd sizes at Mr. Trump’s rallies. The president then turned the conversation to whether Mr. Comey would pledge his loyalty to him.”
We do NOT need Trump provoking them further — we need a levelheaded leader in times like this.
There is nowhere else left to turn.
This is usually only done under one circumstance. A fired director generally isn’t it, so this shows just how upset FBI agents are with Comey’s firing.
