Proof That The Tea Party Caucus Is Too Stupid To Do Their Job
Sometimes I’m surprised the Tea Party even knows which side of the aisle to sit on…

Michele Bachmann has been getting government money for just about everything these days. From government funds to care for foster children, $250,000 in farming subsidies, $100,000 to train employees, and a great deal of Medicare money goes into the pocket of her husband. But these funds are nothing compared to a $417,000 mortgage that Bachmann received in 2008 from government mortgage programs.
As if the people of Wisconsin haven’t been punished enough by Governor Scott Walker and the Republican controlled legislature, the GOP has unveiled a plan to keep voters from acquiring the required voter identification cards and a plan that would confuse and deter voters from going to the polls.
Less than one week until financial Armageddon! At least that is what both sides of the debate would have you believe. And to be honest, a failure to raise the debt ceiling would be tragic for the country and the world; not directly because of an inability to pay U.S. debts, but rather as a result of the economic instability and the corresponding job losses which will result from the illustration of the impotence of the modern American political system.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) reported that its ‘directors highlighted the urgency of raising the federal debt ceiling and agreeing on the specifics of a comprehensive medium-term consolidation programme.’
In a Monday evening interview on Hardball With Chris Matthews on MSNBC, Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah admitted that he wants to bring America to its knees if an amendment is not passed in Congress that would force Americans to live under conservative governance despite which party the people elects. Here is the transcript.
After months of mostly peaceful protests this last month or so has seemed to escalate here in Wisconsin. It started with former Republican State Senator David Zien and his band of thugs coming to the Capitol and starting a fight in which the Tea Partiers draped flags over protesters faces and without being struck, put the Pizza Box Guy, Mike Dickman, in a neckhold and punching him several times in the face.
Yesterday morning on Glenn Beck’s radio show, the former Fox News oustee gave his brief yet pointless take on the Oslo terrror attacks that occurred over the weekend. According to the self-proclaimed prophet of American freedom, the ‘political camp’ that was targeted by alleged terrorist Anders Behring Breivik was kind of like a gathering of the ‘Hitler Youth…or whatever.’
Last week, the President spoke to a coterie of politically involved college students, Republicans, Democrats and Independents alike. It really was a master class in what politics in the real world was all about. He channeled Lincoln and spoke of compromise being the essence of governing in a democracy.
The recent terror attacks – bombings and subsequent shootings at an Olso government facility that claimed the lives of over 90 – were allegedly perpetrated by Anders Behring Breivik; a white, Christian ‘lone gunmen’ whose writings reportedly confess a deep hatred for the ‘growing presence’ of Muslims in Europe, a yearning for a European continent-wide civil war to overthrow governments and put an end to multiculturalism that includes the literal execution of ‘cultural Marxists.’
In political terms, Bill Clinton’s still a reasonably young man. As head of the Clinton Global Initiative, he’s frequently seen at high-powered and high-profiled events around the world and in the United States. I can’t remember another President who’s been interviewed as much and as often, post-Administration, by everyone from David Gregory on Meet the Press to David Letterman, right down to Jon Stewart. In fact, Bill Maher is messing his knickers at the prospect of getting Clinton on his program for an interview.
It appears that the effort to stave off a shutdown of the Federal Aviation Administration has come to naught. There is still a difference of opinion over a $16.5 million cut in subsidies to 13 rural communities. With that, almost 4,000 people will be out of work temporarily and the […]
When Americans blamed Republicans for the government shut down in 1995, one would think the GOP learned their lesson. But the eternally short memories of Republicans and their apparent failure to remember historical facts once again compels them to try something that failed. What is it about the GOP that makes them believe that they can hold America hostage?
This is a call to action for all Americans who believe we need to return sanity to America politics and stop the influence of Radical TeaPublicans from destroying the Economy.
Rush Limbaugh is now saying that it is not actually as hot as people think it is, and that the Government is doctoring the temperature numbers to make people think that it’s hotter than it actually is.
Republican Governors from Texas and Oklahoma have called for a day of prayer, to end the heat wave that is roasting most of our country right now. Governor Rick Perry of Texas and Governor Mary Fallin of Oklahoma don’t believe in climate change, yet they believe if enough people pray then the heat will end.
Anyone who’s been following the work I have been doing has seen the First Amendment of the US Constitution literally trampled on by the GOP in power here in Wisconsin. It started with them saying you cannot hold signs on any floor but the ground floor of the Capitol.
Obama ignores the ideas of some of his staunches allies during his 2008 election campaign at a time when progressive ideas could be his only path to a successful presidency.
