Urgent Action Needed to Stop Tea Party from Sabotaging the Debt Ceiling Issue!

This is a call to action for all Americans who believe we need to return sanity to America politics and stop the influence of Radical TeaPublicans from destroying the Economy.

Using ‘Corporate Personhood’ To Bring Down News Corporation

By definition, corporate personhood practically grants corporations the same rights that human beings enjoy. So that should also mean that corporations should face the exact same consequences when a crime is committed. And I’m not just talking about a person within the corporation. I’m talking about the entire corporation.

We Are Not Pawns in the GOP’s Sick Game

We Are Not Pawns in the GOP’s Sick Game

Republicans across the country have tried to force their policies down Americans throats and they are using an age-old advertising trick of puffery. Puffery, for those who are not into marketing, is when you insert key words into the advertising of your product, service, or in this case, policy.

Why We Owe Thanks To Fox News For Our Republican Presidential Candidates

We really ought to thank Rupert Murdoch and Fox News for the crème de la crème collection of crazed crackpots entering the presidential race. None of these candidates would never have gained so much attention had it not been for Fox News’ drive to ‘entertain’ Americans with their ‘conservative’ version of news.

It Must Be Okay When You Are Republican

130 Republicans who are in congress today voted to hike the debt ceiling under Bush, without hostage threats.

Obama Dismisses Progressives, Again

Obama ignores the ideas of some of his staunches allies during his 2008 election campaign at a time when progressive ideas could be his only path to a successful presidency.

Raise your hand if you want me to tell the GOP to go frack themselves!

Obama Must Resist GOP Economic Terrorism

The GOP is threatening to wreck the economy for political gain. Obama must hold firm or we’ll never climb out the hole they dug for us.

Rupert Murdoch’s Fall From Grace Is Good For America And The World.

Rupert Murdoch and his band of misguided cohorts and minions have done irreparable damage to the institute of Journalism. These unforgivable people have systematically stripped the Journalistic process to the core, to its bare bones. I do think this scandal being broken is a good thing. News Corp has used it’s power and influence to strangle smaller news media and other enterprises around the world to the point of no return, causing dozens of them to close down or be gobbled up by the giant itself. The world has suffered mightily at the hands of News Corp.

Republicans; You Lie! Tax Cuts For The Wealthy Do NOT Create Jobs!

Multiple analyses show that tax rates have no direct correlation to GDP or job growth, yet Republicans tell us over and over and over that they do. I’m tired of hearing this myth being peddled by the Republican Party and their wannabe-millionaire supporters.

Of Cabbages and Kings: It’s Not That Obama’s Naive; It’s Just That the President’s Not White

To say that race matters, regarding matters to the Right of the political spectrum, is an understatement. Who doesn’t remember many of the people showing up for Sarah Palin’s campaign rallies in 2008, with their stuffed monkeys called ‘Little Hussein,’ the elderly woman challenging McCain with her misguided fact that Candidate Obama was an Arab, the shouts and jeers, even to one man shrieking out that Obama must be killed during a Palin pow-wow.

Republican Politicians Hate America

Republican Politicians Hate America

Given the enormity of Republican patriotism, it is interesting that they are so hell-bent on winning the 2012 election, they will do anything it takes to bring this country to its knees in the hope that Americans will be too stupid and/or too ignorant, to understand who drove the economy off a cliff in the first place, and who is currently standing at the top of the cliff making sure we stay down.

The Language of Shared Sacrifice

President Obama uses the term ‘shared sacrifice’ and falls into a Republican trap. It’s time to share the costs of the recovery with everyone, including the Republican’s billionaire patrons.

How We Got To The Debt Ceiling

How We Got To The Debt Ceiling

Republicans try to blame Obama for increasing the National Debt, even though it’s only gone up 25% since he was in office, and it went up 75% under Bush, with Republican support. They also fail to mention that 95% of Obama’s budget deficit is carryover spending from the Bush Administration’s policies.

Excommunication By State

Excommunication By State

I am a proud Virginian and proud of the people who made the Commonwealth great. Because of Virginians, we have a Constitution (James Madison), a Declaration of Independence (Thomas Jefferson) and a Bill of Rights (George Mason). We can claim the first President and the first woman to be elected to the British Parliament. We might have been stupid enough to house the capital of the Confederacy, but in 1989, we elected the first African American governor to preside over that old capital, and that’s when Derval Patrick was still in short trousers.

Beware Of The Party Of Hardships

Beware Of The Party Of Hardships

The financial priorities of the Republicans are highly distressing and extremely alarming, to put it mildly. While they would abolish even the slight improvements Obama has managed to get passed re: health care if they could, they see nothing wrong with the high expenses the Afghanistan war has been causing.

‘Defense’ Spending?

‘Defense’ Spending?

The recent focus on the federal deficit has brought up the question of what programs we have to cut. Among these are social welfare, infrastructure, education, and law enforcement. However there is one that has yet to be touched. Defense.

A Day In The Life Of Fox Bloggers

A Day In The Life Of Fox Bloggers

I decided to randomly scan the comments section under a FoxNews.com article (on the debt ceiling crisis). Look at the names these people have chosen to post under, and even the graphics they use for their personal avatars. For those who’ve never actually read the posts of these folks, this might come as a bit of a shock for you, but you should know what they’re saying. In today’s climate, these people are now the GOP mainstream.

This article’s purpose is to prove that Rick Perry is one of the most dishonest and hypocritical politicians in America. SPOILER ALERT: Rick Perry does a lot of the work for me!

Jeff Stone Admits to Disenfranchising Students and GAB Suspicion

So, I got out of the hospital earlier this week and back off to work. On one of my first days at the Capitol I got a rare interview with Assembly Representative Jeff Stone, who introduced AB7 or the Wisconsin Voter Disenfranchisement Act. One aspect of this bill that was not very widely covered was the disenfranchisement of students.

Update on the Memorial Union and Disability Harassment

Update on the Memorial Union and Disability Harassment

This is about selectively targeting and enforcing policies they never care about on solely me. And it all started just because I want to live a normal life and not let my cardiac condition hinder my life so therefore use a Segway for mobility. An injustice to one is an injustice to all.
