Will The Real “Job Creators” Please Stand UP!

Will The Real “Job Creators” Please Stand UP!

Republicans have created the myth the rich are the ‘Job Creators’. I’ll grant you they are but one ingredient to the recipe, for they offer the supply of jobs. But this does not mean that they, in and of themselves, solely create jobs. No matter how cheap a product may be produced or how cheap a service may be rendered, without demand for those products and services no additional jobs will ever be created.

Just Waiting for the Great White Hope

These people stopped listening to the President ages ago, and along with the likes of John Boehner, Eric Cantor and various members of the White House press corps, treat him with open disrespect – reckoning him naive, incapable, incompetent, spineless and shallow, when he affects calm in a stressful situation, and stoking that well-known fear of ‘the angry black man’ when he shows passion and frustration.

Tea Party Shows Its Anti-Gay, Bigotry Hand

Tea Party Shows Its Anti-Gay, Bigotry Hand

For over a year, Tea Party supporters, activists and demonstrators have touted their supposedly pro-America, anti-Big-Government-taxes sentiments as being the fundamental keys to their masses. Yet, over and over again, evidence has piled up against the Party for its racist, homophobic and religiously-intolerant rhetoric even as they claim such evidence does not exist.

Congressional & Senate Reform Act of 2011

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971…before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc. Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land…all because of public pressure.

Republican Hostage Taking – or ‘I Thought We Don’t Negotiate With Terrorists’

No compromise! Absolutely no raising of taxes! Slash Social Security and Medicare! Meet our demands and give us $1 trillion or we will blow up the economy! When did the Republican Party turn into Dr. Evil from Austin Powers?

Every Day, I’m More Gay

A mocking review of the hypocrisy and homophobic ignorance of the political right and religious fundamentalists in the United States and beyond.

Conservatives Cast A Blind Eye On Racial Animosity Toward Obama

Current U.S. President Barack Obama graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law school, yet Right-wing talk radio host Rush Limbaugh refers to him as an ‘affirmative action candidate’ and ‘Barack the Magic Negro.’

Social Security Isn’t In Crisis – WE ALREADY PAID FOR IT!

Social Security Isn’t In Crisis – WE ALREADY PAID FOR IT!

Republicans claiming Social Security adds to the deficit is a lot like wayward youngster, to whom you loaned a couple trillion bucks on Friday, coming to you on Monday, all hung over, and griping that if he gives you twenty bucks for lunch, he’ll have to borrow from the credit card to pay his mortgage.

The Republican Plan To Kick the Obama Can Down the Road and Out of the White House

It seems like Republicans are so hell-bent on making sure that Obama doesn’t get re-elected that they’re using a potential economic catastrophe to try to make the President look bad. They want President Obama to fail, and they don’t care about the cost.

Social Conservative Sucker Punch: Republican Contenders Compete For Hearts and Souls of the Ridiculously Simple-Minded

Today, with the 2012 election campaigns ready for kickoff, Republican contenders are ramping up their base by playing ‘who can be the most socially conservative and fundamentally religious’ against each other, despite the fact that the real issues facing the country – jobs, economy, security, health – have nothing to do with ‘social’ ideas like gay marriage and Planned Parenthood.

Conservative Watchdog Thinks Gays Are Taking Over TV, Blames ‘Glee’

Admittedly I am not a fan of the Fox hit TV show, Glee – and I understand I am in the minority here. However, the show seems to be taking a large and unjustified hit from conservative-types who are latching on to its sexual themes as though they are the signs of the coming Rapture.

GOP Pledge to America – Lets Hold Them To It

GOP Pledge to America – Lets Hold Them To It

The GOP made a pledge to America back in 2010, which is really just a regurgitation of what they have been saying for 20 years. The difference is, they signed this document, to them it was probably a symbolic gesture, but to me it was more. Let me show you what the Pledge to America stated, in case you all forgot or wanted it wiped from your memory.

Fox News ratings speak for themselves: so what are smart people watching?

Fox News ratings speak for themselves: so what are smart people watching?

We live in highly publicized political times, where networks, publications, blogs, podcasts, tweets and more feed us a daily stream of information revolving around the state of our country and its place in the world. One such entity: Fox News, the bastion of Right-wing conservative media that has steadily increased its viewership and following since the early days of the G.W. Bush Presidency

Attorney Bills, Bill of Rights, Balloons, and the Next Step in Wisconsin!!

I was hoping to get this message up sooner, but was in operation on Thursday and am now recovering.   Perfect time for a blog post if I shall say so myself.  First things first, on Wednesday I went to the Assembly to watch them gerrymander the maps.  A few things […]

Republicans And Religious Hypocrisy

In general, the Republican party at large has an astounding level of hypocrisy when it comes to their faith. They make a good show of having ‘Christian values’ and such, but that’s just what it is. A show. A staged, fake pretense. Let’s take a look at some of these hypocrisies.

This is a call to action for all Americans who believe we need to return sanity to America politics and stop the influence of Radical TeaPublicans from destroying the Economy.

Using ‘Corporate Personhood’ To Bring Down News Corporation

By definition, corporate personhood practically grants corporations the same rights that human beings enjoy. So that should also mean that corporations should face the exact same consequences when a crime is committed. And I’m not just talking about a person within the corporation. I’m talking about the entire corporation.

We Are Not Pawns in the GOP’s Sick Game

We Are Not Pawns in the GOP’s Sick Game

Republicans across the country have tried to force their policies down Americans throats and they are using an age-old advertising trick of puffery. Puffery, for those who are not into marketing, is when you insert key words into the advertising of your product, service, or in this case, policy.

Why We Owe Thanks To Fox News For Our Republican Presidential Candidates

We really ought to thank Rupert Murdoch and Fox News for the crème de la crème collection of crazed crackpots entering the presidential race. None of these candidates would never have gained so much attention had it not been for Fox News’ drive to ‘entertain’ Americans with their ‘conservative’ version of news.

It Must Be Okay When You Are Republican

130 Republicans who are in congress today voted to hike the debt ceiling under Bush, without hostage threats.
