Everyone Is Tweeting Tamir Rice’s Name To NRA Spokeswoman Over Hypocritical Tweet

NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch, a crisis actor, responded to a tweet by NBC News that asked whether, in the era of school and police shootings, kids should get toy guns for Christmas presents. Loesch said, “They’re TOYS. Let kids be kids” but in 2014 when 12-year-old Tamir Rice was gunned down in a playground by police while holding a toy gun, the NRA spokeswoman blamed the young victim.

Following Tamir’s tragic death, Loesch wrote, “But the fact is that even if both the caller and the police were in the wrong, so was the boy.”

Welp, she sure has changed her stance and it can’t possibly be because Tamir was black, right?

So, hundreds, perhaps thousands, of tweets featuring Tamir Rice’s name were sent to Loesch.

Kaboom!

I couldn’t find one tweet in support of Loesch in that long thread. For the record, the police officer who shot and killed Tamir fired within two seconds after the patrol car he was riding in pulled up next to the boy. It’s all on video but the NRA failed once again to support the victim.
