Twitter is forever, and stupid people who say embarrassing things would do well to remember that. However, Sarah Palin, who is the late Senator John McCain’s worst decision of his political career, seems to not realize that. She also seems not to realize that the internet is a hell of a lot smart than she is. Palin tweeted nonsense about how incoming Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (R-NY) does not understand basic civics. Now, keep in mind that Palin is a woman who could not even name a newspaper during her 2008 bid for the Vice Presidency in that infamous Katie Couric interview, and is trying to go all in on the civic knowledge of a Congresswoman. What a joke. Here is Palin’s tweet:
YIKES: Ocasio-Cortez Fumbles Basic Civics TWICE In 1 Statement https://t.co/5xkWeYjsPP

Of course, it links to an article on Palin’s official website, in which she still calls herself the governor, despite the fact that she resigned the post just halfway into her term. But, that’s not the point. It’s riddled with ignorance and lies, which is true of most of what Sarah Palin has to say. Luckily, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is one smart cookie, and she isn’t going to take Palin’s insanity lying down. The youngest Congresswoman in the history of the institution fired back with a tweet of her own, saying:
Now that’s *TWO* fallen GOP Vice Pres candidates going after a freshman Congresswoman that’s not even sworn in yet.
Isn’t it a little early to be bringing out the big guns?
Especially when they look like the FWD:RE:FWD:WATCH THIS grandpa emails from the ‘08 election they lost https://t.co/TijjLgJ0MI

Congresswoman-elect Ocasio-Cortez playing it smart here. She hit Palin where it hurt. This racist bitch thought that her fearmongering about immigrants, Muslims, and Barack Obama would land her in the White House, and she failed miserably. Palin will never get anywhere near the Oval Office, and thank goodness for that. Granted, her rise to fame on the heels of Senator John McCain stirred up the uneducated right-wing masses, and that likely is, at least in part, what got us Donald Trump. People got dumber and more bigoted because of the kind of campaign she was allowed to run. Luckily, her handlers, former GOP strategists turned MSNBC darlings Steve Schmidt and Nicolle Wallace realize now what they did to their party with Palin, and they are deeply regretful, and spend their days and nights sounding the alarm on the dangerous direction in which the GOP has gone in the last decade.
The best part of this, though, is that this young freshman Congresswoman is about to become the worst nightmare of people like Palin. Something tells me she already is.
