Rep. Adam Schiff Responds Perfectly After Trump Refers To Him As ‘Schitt’

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif), the likely next chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said during an interview on Sunday that Democrats will challenge the appointment of new acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker. “The biggest flaw from my point of view is that he was chosen for the purpose of interfering with the Mueller investigation,” Schiff said.

Trump then took to Twitter to refer to the Democrat as “Schitt” in a juvenile tweet.

“So funny to see little Adam Schitt (D-CA) talking about the fact that Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker was not approved by the Senate, but not mentioning the fact that Bob Mueller (who is highly conflicted) was not approved by the Senate!” The 72-year-old president* tweeted.

Schiff responded in a tweet to mock the former reality show star.

“Wow, Mr. President, that’s a good one,” Schiff tweeted. “Was that like your answers to Mr. Mueller’s questions, or did you write this one yourself?”

Trump claimed this week that he wrote his own answers to questions posed by special counsel Robert Mueller, but hasn’t submitted them yet and that’s kind of hard to believe unless he wrote them in crayon.

Schiff won the Internet with his tweet.

During an interview this morning, Trump said that he would not intervene if his new acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker moved to curtail Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Whitaker, a known crackpot, has not been vetted but Mueller has and his position does not require approval from the Senate.
