#BarabooProud: Wisconsin School Under Fire After Class Performs Nazi Salute For Junior Prom Photo

In a thoroughly disgusting display, an entire class, with the exception of one or two students, is seen in a picture giving a Nazi salute. According to one Twitter user who has spoken to some of the students, this sort of behavior is not unusual at that school in Wisconsin. The more than 50 young men are dressed in suits smiling and laughing on the steps of the county courthouse in Baraboo, Wisconsin, posing for their junior prom picture. One of the young men in the front row can also be seen giving the white power “ok” sign, a symbol used by the Alt-Right. The tweet which has since been deleted contained the hashtag “#barabooproud.” But screenshots were taken which went viral and drew widespread condemnation.

The school district is launching an investigation.

However, the school has failed previously to launch investigations after students complained of racism and bullying.

“This is definitely not the first time this sort of problematic, hurtful behavior was given no punishment,” a former student told The Independent.

The Baraboo police department said on Facebook that it was “aware of a controversial photo of a group of high school students that has been posted to social media” and was investigating the matter.

“Officers are assisting the Baraboo School District with their investigation into this matter,” the department added.
