‘Fake News!’: Reality-Challenged Trumpers Awkwardly Heckle Their Own President As Trump Announces Arrest Of MAGABomber

It seems that Donald Trump supporters have developed a talent for rejecting reality and facts from any source, including their own president.

During a press conference in the East Room of the White House, Trump announced that authorities had caught the suspect believed to be behind sending mail bombs to various high-profile critics of his administration. But of course, Trump neglected to mention the suspect was a professed supporter of his. Instead, he chose to use the announcement as an opportunity to further whine about his so-called “unfair” treatment by the media.

“I get attacked, I think, maybe more, maybe more than anybody,” Trump said. “I don’t know. I can do the greatest thing for our country and on the networks and on different things, it will show bad. They will take it back.”

During his announcement, several of his supporters shouted “fake news,” which Trump acknowledged with a light chuckle. They also shouted “Info Wars,” referring to a show once run by recently de-platformed right-wing conspiracy host Alex Jones.

Trump’s supporters are so divorced from reality that even their own cult leader can’t make them accept reality. Could the MAGA movement be turning into something beyond his control?
