Yale Alumnae Stand Up To Kavanaugh, Support His Latest Accuser By The Hundreds

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is embroiled in scandals surrounding his alleged past as a sexual assaulter. Aside from Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s accusation that Kavanaugh violently sexually assaulted her when they were both in high school, there is now a new accuser. Deborah Ramirez graduated from Kavanaugh’s alma mater, Yale University. She says that Kavanaugh exposed his genitals to her and shoved them into her face. She was even allegedly forced to touch his penis as she tried to shove him away from her.

Of course, the White House is pushing back against this newest accuser, because they want nothing more than to be able to have Trump confirm yet another right-wing asshole to the Supreme Court – even if it means putting a man who is accused of being a serial sexual abuser on the nation’s highest court.

Luckily, Deborah Ramirez has support from her fellow Yale University alumnae. There has been an open letter regarding Kavanaugh’s alleged conduct circulated, and it has been signed by hundreds of Yale alumnae. The letter reads, in part:

“We are coming forward as women of Yale because we have a shared experience of the environment that shaped not only Judge Kavanaugh’s life and career, but our own. We are committed to supporting all women who have faced sexual assault, not only at Yale, but across the country.”

You can read the entire letter here on Medium.

Further, current students of Yale Law School have held a sit in against Kavanaugh as well, on the very day the letter was published. They are also insisting that before his nomination goes any further, there needs to be an investigation as to whether or not Donald Trump and the Republican Senate are potentially about to put a bona fide serial rapist on the Supreme Court.

Then again, they put one in the Oval Office, so is anyone really surprised?
