Alleged Russian Spy Sure Did Hang Out With A Lot Of Prominent Republicans (IMAGES)

Russian national Maria Butina, 29, a self-described gun activist with deep ties to the NRA, was arrested this past week for allegedly working on behalf of Russia to influence American politicians through coordination with a domestic gun rights organization. Butina, who worked for Alexander Torshin, a high-level Russian government, and banking official from President Vladimir Putin’s party, seems to have gotten around quite a bit here in the U.S. By the way, the National Rifle Association has failed to address this after revelations of her arrest. NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch has been blocking people on Twitter for asking about Butina’s connection to the gun lobbyist group. Butina sure did hang out with a lot of prominent Republicans. Even if I tried to meet that many politicians, it would be incredibly difficult. This woman is seen with a slew of conservatives, NRA heads, and Republicans. Shannon Watts from Moms Demand Action and a few others tweeted out some jaw-dropping images of Butina casually hanging out with conservatives.

Well, lookie here, it’s Wayne LaPierre.

She really gets around.

I’m sure there are a lot more interesting photos out there. This 4th of July while most of us were grilling hot dogs and hamburgers, then going to see the fireworks, a bunch of Republicans spent Independence Day in Russia. Like, for example, Sen. Ron Johnson (WI), who tweeted about “freedom” and “liberty” on the 4th of July while he was in Russia. That’s what you call bad optics. And so are all of the photos above.
