British Press Blasts Trump’s ‘Insult’ Of A UK Visit; This Is GLORIOUS (IMAGES)

Donald Trump is not at all popular with our friends across the pond in the United Kingdom. Their contempt for him was on full display during his visit there, as massive protests, complete with a giant ‘Trump Baby’ blimp that followed the orange menace around the United Kingdom for the duration of the visit. In fact, the protests were so huge that Trump had to be kept away from London pretty much altogether, because the citizens there would not allow him a moment’s peace. What really takes the cake, though, is the reaction of the British press.

One newspaper, the Daily Mirror ran the headline “How Dare You,” as Trump sat in the famous chair of British hero Winston Churchill.

That same paper also quoted British politicians, who expressed nothing but complete disdain for Trump. British Labour Party politician Stephen Doughty said:

“An image of Donald Trump sitting in Churchill’s seat will stick in the throats of many Brits who would consider Trump not only to be one of the worst presidents in US history but also not even worthy of a comparison with our wartime leader who rescued our nation in its darkest hour.”

Ruth Smeeth, also of the Labour Party, said:

“Churchill embodied the best of British spirit when we were fighting and defeating racists and fascists during World War Two. Given Trump’s appalling actions and rhetoric, he doesn’t even deserve to look at a statue of Churchill let alone sit in his seat.”

They are right, of course. Donald Trump is not fit to shine Churchill’s shoes, much less sit in any chair he occupied. Trump is a disgrace, an affront to decent people everywhere. The only silver lining here is that the British people, including their press, let him know just how they felt about his presence in their great nation.
