Robert De Niro Hits The Stage At Tony’s, Says What We’re All Thinking Of Trump (VIDEO)

There is clearly no love lost between Donald Trump and Hollywood. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that every major awards show this season has featured harsh criticism of the orange man baby squatting in the Oval Office from some of the most famous names in the entertainment industry. That tradition continued at Sunday night’s Tony Awards. Perhaps the best anti-Trump line at that event came from esteemed actor Robert De Niro.

When he hit the stage to present an award, De Niro turned to the audience and said:

“Fuck Trump. It’s no longer ‘down with Trump,’ it’s ‘fuck Trump.’”

Of course, the star-studded audience loved this profane anti-Trump rant, and they roared with cheers and gave De Niro a hearty and excited standing ovation. The broadcast was bleeped, but of course recordings of the incident leaked onto social media, and Twitter in particular.

Now, of course, the “real Americans” who support Trump no matter how egregious his behavior, no matter how swampy his cabinet, no matter how terribly he treats our allies and embraces our dangerous adversaries, will just say that it’s a bunch of rich, west coast liberal elites who hate Trump and all he stands for.

But no. There’s plenty of people who stand for decency, equality, diplomacy, and normalcy. We are all over the nation, and we agree with Robert De Niro. Fuck Trump.
