Armed Trump Fan Shows Up At School Shooting To ‘Make America Great Again’

Trump supporters are stupid. “How stupid,” you ask? Stupid enough to think that the best thing to do after yet another school shooting where eight people died is to show up waving a flag, carrying a gun, and yelling about making America great again.

“Make America great again,” the man, who was wearing a Trump hat, said when a reporter asked him what was going through his head when he found out that another school shooting had occurred.

He says he was “offering support because ‘God bless you’ would go a long ways right now for a lot of people.”

“Thank you,” he said. “I’m gonna head this way.”

If that leaves you scratching your head and/or realizing that inbreeding is a much more serious problem in our country than you previously thought, you’re not alone. Unfortunately, others aren’t much smarter.

Another man felt that the guy was an absolute dumbshit moron for bringing a gun to a school shooting scene, but he also feels that prayers are the way to fix the repeat issue of mass shootings in our country.

“We need prayers,” the other man said.

“This idiot is walking down the street with a damn pistol on his side where we just had kids get shot,” the other man said. “I’m a gun rights person, I have guns. But this idiot is walking down here and saying that he needs to make America great again. That’s not what America needs. America needs prayers.”

America doesn’t need prayers, either. America needs to realize that the best way to control gun violence is to finally take the important step of finally restricting firearm purchases and ownership.

While the Second Amendment, which was written largely to reassure slave states that the North wouldn’t use its powers as a backdoor way to end slavery through gun confiscation, exists, it sure as hell is possible to require gun owners to store their weapons at a gun range and sign them in and out (this is just my solution; it’s not the only one.) or to allow ownership only of the types of guns that existed at the time the Second Amendment was written (they’re still guns and you can still own them).

Of course, others would be satisfied with less militant restrictions than would I. Background checks, closing loopholes that allow people to buy guns even when they shouldn’t, preventing domestic abusers from buying weapons, and maybe considering that people with poor mental health should not be allowed to own weapons that can mow down a crowd in seconds.
