Trump Just Called Immigrants ‘Animals’ During Sanctuary Cities Roundtable

Ever since our country proved to the rest of the world that we have no integrity by “electing” Donald Trump as President by a minority of the vote and thanks to an outdated electoral system that exists because slave states needed a way to preserve their power back in the day, Trump has dedicated his life to deporting immigrant children. But don’t worry; he doesn’t think of them as animals or anything — oh, wait, he does.

During an immigration roundtable on Thursday,  Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims catered to Trump’s extreme xenophobia by complaining about a California law that forbids informing U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement of undocumented immigrants in the state’s jails.

“There could be an MS-13 member I know about — if they don’t reach a certain threshold, I cannot tell ICE about it,” Mims said.

Naturally, Trump jumped on the mention of the gang as an excuse to let everyone know that all immigrants coming from South America are animals.

“We have people coming into the country, or trying to come in — and we’re stopping a lot of them — but we’re taking people out of the country,” President Stable Genius replied.

“You wouldn’t believe how bad these people are. These aren’t people. These are animals,” Trump continued. “And we’re taking them out of the country at a level and at a rate that’s never happened before.”

The law in question does indeed prevent police from calling immigration officials if they “believe” an undocumented immigrant is part of a gang, but allows them to be called once a person (or “animal” as Trump calls them) is convicted of any of about 800 crimes. California governor called Trump out on his lies via Twitter:

Other lawmakers also slammed Trump for calling immigrants “animals”:

Even President Obama’s White House photographer Pete Souza got in on the action:

Dear sir: THESE are animals.

Trump has previously called Mexicans “rapists” and “murderers,” and has whined about immigrants coming from “shithole” countries, but loosely trying his hateful remarks to a specific gang allows his supporters to once again claim “that’s not what he meant.”

But it was clear what he meant to everyone who has paid even a small amount of attention to everything else The Donald has said — especially as he has no way to accurately measure how many MS-13 gang members have been removed.
