Trump-Loving Florida School Shooter Was Trained By A White Supremacist Militia

Florida mass shooter Nikolas Cruz — or Nikolas Annihilator as he calls himself on Instagram — loves Donald Trump almost as much as he hates minorities.

Not only did Cruz post a photo of himself wearing his “Make America Great Again” Trump hat on Instagram, but he also participated in paramilitary drills with a white nationalist militia in Tallahassee:

The leader of a white nationalist militia says Florida school shooting suspect Nikolas Cruz was a member of his group and participated in paramilitary drills in Tallahassee.

Jordan Jereb told The Associated Press on Thursday that his group wants Florida to become its own white ethno-state. He said his group holds “spontaneous random demonstrations” and tries not to participate in the modern world.

Jereb said he didn’t know Cruz personally and that “he acted on his own behalf of what he just did and he’s solely responsible for what he just did.”

He also said he had “trouble with a girl” and he believed the timing of the attack, carried out on Valentine’s Day, wasn’t a coincidence.

This information is quite uncomfortable for conservatives who seek to portray Cruz as a “leftist” shooter or as a member of “Antifa”  (means “anti-fascist”) or a Muslim (he calls Muslims “terrorists and bombers”)– and the attempt to deflect blame to Valentine’s Day (which now has two famous massacres under its belt unrelated to romance) is typical of the Right’s habit of attempting to deflect blame from anything that could damage their reputation (though it is unclear why a leader of a white supremacist group would bother, as he and his friends are all nigh-universally regarded as trash by anyone who can operate a spork without extreme difficulty).

One student at the school says that while Cruz attended there, he “seemed really extreme, like hating on” Muslims. “I’ve seen him wear a Trump hat.” Another student says Cruz  “always had guns on him.”

As the Right continues to attempt to deflect blame from the gun culture they helped cultivate and the crazed lunatics they try to attract, the rest of us are forced to wonder how many more mass shooters they will create before we finally get around to common sense gun reform.
