Mnuchin Got His A– Handed To Him By Maxine Waters Over Russia Sanctions And Trump Finances (VIDEO)

Trumpflakes will be very upset today after Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) kicked Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin in his sh-thole during his testimony on Tuesday before the Financial Stability Oversight Council.

Waters pressed Mnuchin on why he failed to implement Russia sanctions and she wanted answers on Donald Trump and his family’s finances.

“Mr. Chairman, as a general matter, Secretary Mnuchin’s handling of inquiries from Committee Democrats has been completely unacceptable,” she said to his stupid face. “As you know, serious questions have been raised about the finances of President Trump, his family members and his associates, and their involvement with Russian government officials and oligarchs. As the Ranking Member of the Committee with jurisdiction over the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), I and other Democrats on the Committee have requested information from the Secretary on these matters several times.”

To explain the failure to implement sanctions on Russia, Mnuchin said that “the sections you’re referring to has been delegated to the State Department.”

“Who is responsible for delegating what was passed by an overwhelming majority of this House to the State Department?” Waters asked.

“The president,” Mnuchin said.

“So the president decided that despite the fact that in the law that we passed, it delegated responsibility to Treasury, that he decided that he wanted it to be delegated to the State Department rather than Treasury,” Waters said. “And this is your excuse for not having implemented the law, is that correct?”

“No, it’s not my excuse,” Mnuchin said. “The president had the authority to delegate within that as he chose fit.”

“But the final conclusion is that nothing has been done!” Waters shot back. “There has been no waiver, there has been no delay, there has not been anything that has been done. You did not waive or delay sanctions. That is the conclusion.”

Mnuchin claimed that an “enormous amount of work” had been done on by the Treasury on Russian sanctions.

Waters asked Mnuchin to “describe the ‘enormous amount of work’ that has been done?”

“I assure you that as it relates to the work being done in Treasury, there will be sanctions,” Mnuchin insisted. “We complied with the law on time.”

“The Congress of the United States does not know what you are doing!” Waters said. “The Congress of the United States does not expect that your response to the public policy that was developed by us be somehow responded to in a classified way.”

Watch:

Mnuchin noted the list of Oligarchs the administration released. However, that list was copied from Forbes list of wealthy Russians and must have taken a whole two minutes to create.
