Oprah Makes A Major Announcement Regarding A 2020 Presidential Run

For quite some time, people have been wondering if Oprah would listen when seemingly half the world begged Oprah Winfrey to challenge Donald Trump in 2020.

Rumors of a President Stable Genius/Oprah matchup reached new levels after her ex-partner Steadman Graham assured Americans,  “It’s up to the people. She would absolutely do it” and her best friend Gayle King said the American icon was “intrigued” by the idea. Unfortunately, we shouldn’t get our hopes up. As of now, Oprah isn’t interested.

“I’ve always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not. And so it’s not something that interests me. I don’t have the DNA for it,” Oprah told InStyle Magazine.

“Gayle — who knows me as well as I know myself practically — has been calling me regularly and texting me things, like a woman in the airport saying, ‘When’s Oprah going to run?’” Winfrey said. “So Gayle sends me these things, and then she’ll go, ‘I know, I know, I know! It wouldn’t be good for you — it would be good for everyone else.’ I met with someone the other day who said that they would help me with a campaign. That’s not for me.”

There are a number of potential candidates who have the potential to defeat Trump — especially with his rapidly-dropping popularity and series of f*cked-up policies. Then there’s the fact that it’s easier to count the number of people in his administration who are not under investigation than those who are. That’s probably going to create a few problems for him.

Whoever ends up facing off against Trump, it’s important that we not allow extremists to divide us like last time, when 132,147 protest votes for Jill Stein (a person of interest in the Russia investigation) in three states made all the difference.
