‘Thoughts And Prayers’: Trump Offers Unique Solution To Gun Violence After Kentucky School Shooting

In what can only be thought of as an administration of stable geniuses, following the third school shooting in two days, Trump’s White House came up with a solution to this neverending problem in our society.

On Monday, a teenage girl was wounded at a Texas high school after a 16-year-old suspect opened fire with a semi-automatic handgun. And then on Tuesday, fourteen people were wounded, two were fatally shot after a shooter opened fire at Marshall County High School. Another five people sustained other injuries.

In New Orleans, gunfire erupted at around 1:30 p.m. when students were outside for lunch. The police say that one student was taken to the hospital after being hurt running from the bullets but confirmed no student was struck by gunfire.

We’ve gone through this before, and the public seems to be desensitized to gun violence at this point.

On April 20th, 1999, there was a school shooting at Columbine High School in which 13 innocent lives were taken.

In 2012, twenty-eight were killed after a man packing heavy firearms embarked on a ghastly killing spree at Sandy Hook Elementary School, claiming the lives of 20 students and 6 teachers.

From there, the list goes on and on and on. The public is exhausted. The National Rifle Association has offered one consistent remedy: more guns. The U.S. OBVIOUSLY needs more guns, after all, as Bustle notes, with a population of 317 million in this country, we are looking at only 113 guns per person.

So, the White House has come up with a remarkable solution to the staggering amount of gun violence in this country.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said today that Donald Trump has been briefed on Tuesday’s deadly shooting at a high school in Kentucky.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families there and we offer our sincerest appreciation to the heroic Marshall County deputy who apprehended the shooter,” she told reporters.

Watch:

Apparently, this new unique solution has caught on and all gun violence will end after Huckabee Sanders’ answer to this gruesome problem in the U.S.

And just like that, school shootings are no longer a thing. This brings a tear to my eye as I type, so I want to relay my gratitude to the Trump administration for finding a solution to this devastating issue. If only we had a stable genius in the White House after the Columbine shooting to recommend ‘thoughts and prayers,’ but no, it’s taken a while for us to find a real leader with a different approach to keep America’s children safe.
