Mark Hamill Mocks Trump’s ‘Fake News’ Awards On Twitter, And It’s EVERYTHING We Hoped

Today, Donald Trump is supposedly giving media outlets he hates special “fake news” awards. These awards, which were supposed to be presented over a week ago, are intended to go to whoever Trump and his loyal subjects refused to bow, scrape, and sing his praises properly, and instead painted him in a truthful light. These awards serve as yet more evidence that Trump believes being president means bending everyone to his whim; hence his attacks on the free press.

Mark Hamill, a.k.a. Luke Skywalker, cut Trump down with his virtual lightsaber on Twitter today. But the attack didn’t call Trump names, it didn’t directly shred him for these “fake news” awards, and it didn’t explain how this makes Trump look even more like the authoritarian dictator his brainwashed followers insist he’s not. He did something far more hilarious:

Notice that the homework he’s done is reading Michael Wolff’s controversial book, “Fire And Fury: Inside The Trump White House.” The next two are true mockeries – he’s pretending this is an actual red-carpet event (which Trump no doubt wishes it was) when news reports are speculating as to whether Trump will actually make a show of it. The Washington Post says it’s “shaping up to be a total flop.”

For item #4 on Hamill’s list, he’s mocking Trump’s entire attitude towards anyone and anything that he disagrees with, and refers to the following quote from Thomas Jefferson:

“When the speech condemns a free press, you are hearing the words of a tyrant.”

Isn’t that the truth. But since neither Trump nor his loyal subjects respond to facts, it’s easier just to put him through a very sarcastic wringer for garbage like this.
