Planned Parenthood Shooting Victims Identified as a Veteran and a Beloved Mother

All three victims of Friday’s attack on a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood have now been identified and include a police officer, an army veteran, and a beloved mother of two — all of whom had kids that have now lost parents at the hands of a man claiming that he values the lives of children.

Their names are Jennifer Markovsky, Garrett Swasey and Ke’Arre M. Stewart.

Army veteran Ke’Arre M. Stewart was an entrepreneur and DJ, as well as an Iraq war veteran. His wife has stated she wants justice, and that her husband “leaves behind his children, whose lives will never be the same.”

He was outside the clinic trying to make a phone call when he was shot. He made it inside before the gunman, however, and warned those inside to hide and call 9-1-1 before he died.

Jennifer Markovsky, 36, was a married mother of two, originally from Waianae, Hawaii, who had gone to Planned Parenthood to support a friend. One of Markovsky’s relatives told Hawaii News Now:

“The family is grieving. We’re all shocked.”

Julia Miller, the sister of Makovsky’s husband Paul, told the Denver Post:

“She’s just a really sweet woman that would do anything for everyone … [Paul is] struggling dealing with the children and everything. It’s hard to let them know that their mother is gone.”

Police officer Garrett Swasey, 44, was also a father of two. He was a six-year veteran of the University of Colorado police force and an elder at Hope Chapel. He was also an accomplished former U.S. figure skater.

“He might not be in alignment with the abortion industry, but he’d be willing to go in and lay down his life for those people, and that’s just the testimony to me of the kind of man that he is. Not just courageous, but Christlike,” church co-pastor Scott Dontanville told CNN. “He would want us to forgive this man (the gunman) and to go on with our lives.”

All three were killed after an anti-choice radical entered the Colorado Springs clinic and opened fire.

Police have identified the shooter as Robert Lewis Dear, 57, who stated “no more baby parts,” following the bloodshed.

For someone who will surely claim to value the lives of the unborn, in typical radical GOP fashion — he forgot about those children who are already here.
