UPDATE – Comedian Rosie O’Donnell’s Daughter, Chelsea, Found After Search

Earlier today, a heartbreaking message has just appeared on Rosie O’Donnell’s website:

“Rosie O’Donnell’s 17 year old daughter, Chelsea O’Donnell was reported missing. Nyack, New York police authorities have been looking for her in the Rockland County area since Sunday, August 16. She was last seen Tuesday, August 11. She was wearing a black sweatshirt hoodie, dark ripped blue jeans, women’s grey converse sneakers and a black backpack. Chelsea has a large tattoo on her right side of a dream catcher with the word ‘Breathe.’ She left home with her 6 month old therapy dog named Bear. The dog is a 9 lbs brown and black terrier. Chelsea stopped taking her medicine and is in need of medical attention. Any information please contact authorities at 845-358-0206 or 911.

Chelsea appears to suffer from an unnamed mental health condition, one that seems to require medication. In recent months, Chelsea and Rosie have been entangled with strange accusations from Chelsea’s birth mother, who was surprised to discover that Chelsea was now missing.

Nyack is several miles up the Hudson river from New York City, with numerous public transit options into the Big Apple. The chance of her going into the city and vanishing is quite high, hence why O’Donnell has chosen such a widespread attempt to locate her daughter. While she has had her issues with various people over the years, no one can doubt the love she has for her family. Sadly, one of the loudest critics of O’Donnell, Donald Trump, did not rise to the occasion with a simple retweet of the alert asking for help in finding Chelsea.

Hopefully, O’Donnell’s massive outreach to social media to find her daughter will go viral.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the O’Donnell family in hopes that Chelsea will be found soon.

UPDATE: 6 hours after the initial alert, Chelsea was found, and now is in police custody. Rosie O’Donnell alerted her followers with the following message.

It is unknown the impact of social media had upon the search, but the awareness it gave certainly could not have hurt. We are glad to see that she has been found safe and sound.
