Hillary Clinton Epically Trolls The Republican Candidates During The GOP Debate

While the GOP debate has shown that the clown car is at full capacity in the Republican Party, all candidates, needless to say, failed in their ability to separate themselves from pre-Obama presidential politics. When they weren’t bashing President Obama on nearly every issue, they turned their wrath onto Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton, however, was prepared for one candidate to attack her.

Hanging on the walls of Clinton’s campaign headquarters in Brooklyn is a large picture of a smiling Jeb Bush with a quote from 2013 that reads:

“Former Secretary Clinton has dedicated her life to serving and engaging people across the world in democracy.”

The picture, posted on Clinton’s campaign Facebook page in which Jeb Bush was tagged, was a very sly caption: “Inspiration on the walls of HQ during the debate tonight.”

Inspiration indeed. While candidate after candidate attacked Clinton on every issue imaginable (from her emails to her diplomacy championed as Secretary of State), at least we now know one candidate praises her for her service.

The quote is from September 2013 when Jeb Bush presented Clinton with the Constitution Center’s Liberty Medal for her dedication to women and children’s rights around the world. Bush, who is the chairman of the board of trustees of the National Constitution Center, has received controversy for this award.

I wonder how long it will take for Bush to recant his one expression of support for Clinton.

The Clinton campaign didn’t stop there. They also hung on the wall pictures of Rick Perry, Carly Fiorina, Marco Rubio and Donald Trump. All pictures were donned with quotes of high praise for Clinton from each candidate.

Fiorina’s said, “Women of every political party owe a debt of gratitude to Hillary Clinton.”

Perry’s said, “Very, very capable public servant, great Secretary of State, First Lady.”

One day Republicans call her a very capable Secretary of State and great diplomat, and the next day they say her service was nothing but shoddy.

No wonder Clinton was left in a “state of disbelief” over the lack of common sense amongst the 10 Republican contenders:

“When people in the political world … oppose these programs, I would like them to just walk in your shoes for a week. We’ve got people, well let’s just say we’ve got people running for president, who I don’t know what world they live in. I don’t understand it. It’s truly amazing to me. I’m constantly in a state of disbelief. ‘They said what?'”

It looks like Hillary Clinton knows how to troll.
