New York Tea Party Operative Busted With A Bunch Of Photos Of Naked Children

It seems that you can’t swing a cat these days without hitting yet another right-winger who either molested, or was busted with naked photos of, children. With all the controversy surrounding Josh Duggar’s vile abuse of his sisters and one other unnamed victim, one cannot help but think this might be an accepted practice on the Right.

Last week, Joseph Hayon was arrested for trading explicit photos of children between the ages of 2 and 12 using his e-mail account, [email protected] Hayon, the second President of the Brooklyn Tea Party and failed “family values” city council candidate — whose slogan was “Our children are out future” — was discovered to be trading the pictures after someone tipped off police to his activities.

During a failed run for the New York state assembly, he pledged to prosecute librarians who make “electronic obscenity” available to the same minors to whose images he enjoys masturbating.

The tip led police to search Hayon’s house in Midwood, where a treasure trove of child pornography was discovered. Law enforcement confiscated two laptops, five desktops, a video camera, a cell phone, and one DVD upon visiting the Tea Partier’s home, according to prosecutors.

Hayon has been released on $50,000 bail, and has been barred from coming into contact with his four very young children, ages 9, 7, 4, and 15 months. “I can’t comment, my lawyer told me not to talk,” the “family values” conservative told reporters upon his release. However, he did say that it was not his wife who tipped police off. “Definitely not my wife,” he said.

On Hayon’s web site, he notes his work at Jewish nonprofit Pesach Tikvah, which works with children and adults who have special needs. He also takes pride in his past work as an elementary school teacher, and his role in  “turning failing students into A+ students, raising the academic expectations from parents, and more important, giving students self-confidence.”

Hayon is not the first Tea Partier to make headlines for the possession of child porn. In 2013, self-proclaimed “Tea Party patriot” Brian Schwanke was busted for using the e-mail account [email protected] to trade hundreds of hardcore child sex videos and photos.

Schwanke claimed to have been a pastor for 20 years and to have had sex with numerous children — some as young as 8 — during that time period. “I’ve even knocked up a couple but we were able to make people believe it was someone else,” he wrote, according to court documents.

On his Facebook page, Schwanke proclaimed his love of the Tea Party, which he described as:

“A non- acist, non-sexist, group of patriots who believe that the Government has too much say in our personal lives. We believe that a smaller government operating on a fixed budget that can not be increased or wasted is the right way to go. We believe this country WAS founded on a CHRISTIAN foundation, and the progressive, atheist left is running us into the ground to create a Socialist country that will fall like all the others.”

More recently, Tea Party “patriot” and founder of a racist border militia Chris Simcox was arrested for child molestation. Simcox, a former kindergarten teacher, is accused of abusing two girls under the ages of ten between 2012 and 2013.

Simcox’s militia group disbanded in 2010, but he has since used the group’s web site to garner support for the Tea Party. In addition, Simcox was once a regular speaker at Tea Party events, and once mounted an unsuccessful primary challenge to John McCain.

There is good news for all of these men, though. All they need to do, apparently, is proclaim that they have found Jesus — and all is absolved, just like that! Ever since it was revealed that Josh Duggar “played doctor” (as one conservative disgustingly put it) with his sleeping sisters, the Right has been falling all over themselves to defend their favorite child molester. Even Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee joined in the scramble to stand up for child abuse.

Sometimes, it’s not who you abuse or how disgusting your actions are — it’s who you hate, and the strength of your awful convictions that matter… to conservatives, anyway.
