Homophobic Pastor Makes Horse’s Ass Of Himself Comparing Gay Marriage To Bestiality (VIDEO)

When so-called “Christian” Edward James set out to protest legal gay marriage, he wasn’t horsing around.

The Clarion Ledger reports James — pastor of Bertha Chapel Missionary Baptist Church —  dressed a horse named Charlotte in a bridal gown, made some signs, and hauled her off to a patch of lawn in front of the Federal Courthouse in Jackson, MS to make his displeasure about same sex marriage known.

Why did James pick this particular location? Because he objects to the way District Judge Carlton Reeves blocked Mississippi’s gay marriage ban in late November.

When asked why he staged such a “ridiculous” protest — with the horse and all — James explained:

“Although (the protest) is ridiculous, so is the same-sex marriage status. That’s the point I’m trying to convey to Mississippians today, and I’m hoping that (U.S. District Court) Judge Reeves will reconsider his ruling and that Mississippi will stay a state that will only recognize marriage between a man and a woman.”

And of course, James went there and made the obligatory comparison to bestiality.

“The horse is to show the ridiculous idea of two men getting married.”

James added:

“I’m a Mississippian and I’m praying and hoping that we will remain a state that only recognizes marriage between a man and a woman,”

Apparently, lots of other folks agreed with James’ stunt with the horse.

“I’ve had 100-percent support so far, thumbs up, tooting on the horns, I’ve even had a couple come out and give me a hug and hug the horse.”

LGBT activist Eddie Outlaw declared:

“I thought it was laughable and I believe he was going for a ridiculous protest and he certainly got one.”

Watch Pastor James explain his horse bride.

Here’s the video with the news report from WJTV:

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And gay marriage the pastor can’t endorse,
Unless, of course, the bridal horse
Is the famous Mr. Ed.
