Schwarzenegger Shames Self And GOP With Final Act Of Vindictiveness To Soon-To-Be Ex-Wife

As if Arnold Schwarzenegger hasn’t embarrassed himself enough with respect (or lack of it) to his soon-to-be ex-wife Maria Shriver, now the former California governor has crudely smudged her face out of his official portrait…before they’ve even officially divorced.

So, way back in 2003, Arnie requested the painter of his official portrait include Shriver’s face painted on his lapel button in the painting.

“It was actually a cute gesture when he had it done,” said Clay Russell, a former Schwarzenegger aide.

But on leaving office, the Republican announced that for more than a decade of his 25-year marriage to Shriver, he had been keeping a dark secret – he’d fathered a child with a long serving member of their household staff.

“After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement issued to The LA Times when the news broke.

“I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.

So sorry, that he decided to re-issue his official portrait to the public, with Shriver’s absence conspicuously represented by a giant, ugly smudge.

He’s embarrassed himself, and his party.
