Homer Simpson Talks To Me About Doing The ALS Bucket Challenge (VIDEO)

Homer and I think Matt Damon’s ALS challenge is the best so far, hands down. Damon’s big into conserving water, so he used cold toilet water instead of the pure H2O. It was disgusting. It was great! HTTP://FC06.DEVIANTART.NET/FS40/F/2009/052/F/7/HOMER_SIMPSON_BY_THE34TRUTH.JPGMUST READS

Homer, Homer. Of course your buds challenged you to get the freezing ALS ice bucket drenching. So you challenged Flanders, Lenny and Flanders again. I’m not sure if that means Flanders has to do it twice, but I think so. (Homer says, “Yes”) Then Homer threw in Donald Trump just for fun. I can’t wait to see what water does to that animal that lives on Trump’s head. Yes, Springfield is undoubtedly where the action is. “Woohoo!”

And of course Homer tried to sneak past us with a small glass of ice water, didn’t you, Homer? Just so you know, it wasn’t a pretty site, your mustard colored chest and muffin tops look even worse when they are served up cold, Homer. But okay you sounded sort of convincing with your cold sounds. Sort of.

And then it came, an ice-water tsunami that smushed you flat. All things cold followed. Penguins, ice-hockey players, Santa and several off-season elves, a polar bear, a wicked snowman, Olaf from “Frozen”, a Yeti and a snaggle-toothed ice tiger. Finally a fully loaded ice-cream truck topped it off.

We hear an evil chuckle and the camera leads us up to the helicopter in the sky with Bart holding the emptied crate and loving it. Then we’re back down to the Homer ice sandwich.

“Fight ALS,” was all you say before you pass out.

The Ice Bucket challenge came to us in a 40-second clip that aired on YouTube Wednesday.

ALS is often called Lou Gehrig’s Disease, because the famous baseball player died of this terrible disease. It is a disease that attacks the brain’s and spinal cord’s nerve cells, so that people cannot control their muscles.

Just one guy kicked the Ice Bucket Challenge off in July. Former Boston baseball player Pete Frates, who is suffering from ALS, challenged his friends to raise awareness. And it went viral.

Millions of challengers exposed themselves to gallons of freezing dunkings and posted their self-inflicted torture on the social media. But best of all, ALS has had a sharp rise in donations, raising a whopping $88.8 million dollars so  far. Homer says, “Good job!”

But Homer is not the only celebrity to take part in the fad. There are celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Robert Downey, Jr., Oprah Winfrey, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Will Smith. R2-D2 also recently did his bit for the charity.

And the former president, George W. Bush participated — his wife poured, and I’m sure she freed a boatload of aggressions. Bill Gates designed a guillotine-like structure that practically drowned him when he released it. And Homer and I were really surprised to find that Sir Patrick Stewart gets political when he’s all wet,

“You use the word ‘funny’ about some of these politicians we’ve been looking at—there’s Rand Paul and the guy in Toronto. Maybe they’re not politicians, maybe they’re actually comedians but they have bad scriptwriters. Think about it.” (Okay we lied. He said that on The Daily Show.)

But back to the celebrities. Homer and I think Matt Damon’s is the best so far, hands down. Damon’s big into conserving water, so he used cold toilet water instead of the pure H2O. It was disgusting. We loved it!

Homer wants to know if you’ve taken your challenge (and donated)? If not think about it. Homer says that it does take the place of your daily shower.

Oh and Homer wants me to remind you that the 26th season of The Simpson’s airs September 28th on Fox. “D’oh.”
