13 Signs That Make The Best Case For Marriage Equality

Currently, there are nineteen states within the U.S. that have legalized gay marriage, and twelve states where judges have issued rulings in favor of the freedom to marry.

Although the struggle for the legalization of gay marriage across the board still exists, it’s been a crucial year for gay rights – marked by the U.S. Supreme Court’s rulings on the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and California’s Prop 8.

Fortunately, the support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of slowing down or diminishing. In May 2014, a Gallup poll found that 55% of Americans support allowing marriage for same-sex couples. Just this past week, great progress for marriage equality was made in Utah and Indiana.

June was LGBT Pride Month, and in honor of celebrating the great strides we’ve made toward equality, we’ve found some of the best signs that support same-sex marriage and similar LGBT issues. Check them out!

These signs are hilarious, and make a valid case while trying to inject humor into a completely unjust situation. We hope these signs provoke reflection for those who believe that marriage equality shouldn’t exist, and some lighthearted fun for those who are affected by this inequality every day.
