Boehner, House Republicans To Hilariously Sue President Obama Over Executive Orders

Speaker of the House John Boehner.

Today, Speaker of the House John Boehner announced that Republicans intend to sue Pres. Barack Obama over his use of executive orders. Speaker Boehner said that this is in no way tied to any articles or methods of impeachment. Talks of suing the president began after Pres. Obama used his executive authority to raise the minimum wage for Federal contract workers and ended employment discrimination towards contract workers on the basis of sexual orientation. It is also seen that Pres. Obama’s swap of Bowe Bergdahl for the five detainees in Guantánamo is another reason for the lawsuit. A noteworthy executive order that angered Republicans was his halting of deportations for many children in the United States illegally (or in other words, just being a compassionate human being).

Once again Republicans show that they’re not willing to work for the rest of the country because they’re suing the only person who has the balls to clean up their inability to get anything done. Republicans sit there in their $3000 suits with their free healthcare and pander to the top, and don’t get anything done. The President then steps in and fixes the stagnation, and he gets sued?

What I find interesting is that they think the president did these orders willy-nilly without consulting federal attorneys, constitutional lawyers, etc. Apparently this whole executive order thing  wasn’t an issue when President Bush issued 291 of them. It wasn’t an issue when Reagan issued 381. Hell, it wasn’t even an issue when Clinton issued 364! But oh no, President Obama issues 168 and all hell breaks loose, and now we are living in an authoritarian dictatorship.

Ah, so now we’ve gotten down to it. The first black president, who is doing what every other president has done, is now being punished. But yes, we know Republicans, this has absolutely nothing to do with the color of his skin.

At a news conference on Capitol Hill Speaker John Boehner told CNN when asked why:

“You know the constitution makes it clear that the President’s job is to faithfully execute the laws and in my view the President has not faithfully executed the laws.

“This is about defending the institution in which we serve. If you look back over the past 235 years of our history there’s been movement between the inherent powers of the executive branch versus the inherent powers of the legislative branch, and what we’ve seen clearly over the past five years is an effort to erode the power of the legislative branch.”

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi Wednesday called the lawsuit “a subterfuge,” a much kinder and much more appropriate way of putting it.

Republicans say that Pres. Obama’s sidestepping of their authority has caused them to bring about this lawsuit. I have a great idea: let’s file a lawsuit for their years of lying, slandering, false advertisement, sedition and treason. Let’s sue them for lost wages from their shutdown, their endless phony “scandal” hearings, and their multiple repeal votes for Obamacare.

Better yet, let’s sue them for murder over their refusal to expand Medicaid. The facts have been presented to them; when you don’t expand Medicaid, people will die. Let’s sue them for murder over their cuts in food stamps, and cuts to embassy security (can anyone say Benghazi?).

Once again, instead of trying to help the U.S with our economic expansion, the crisis in the Middle East, or any lingering healthcare problems, Republicans have fallen victim to political pandering from the Tea Party. This is something they’ve been teetering on the waters for a long time. I figured they couldn’t be this stupid, but they haven’t learned their lessons from their pathetic and often baseless ideas that always blow up in their faces.

If they want to waste their midterm election time with this phony, merit-less BS, let them be our guest. No skin off our or the President’s bones. I’m going to sit back relax and watch this crumble.
