GOP Civil War Heating Up As Karl Rove Fires Back At Sarah Palin (VIDEOS)

The GOP continues to implode from within, and as liberals, I have to say, we are loving it. Last week’s CPAC saw some extraordinary moments – not the least of which was former half-term Alaskan Governor and reality TV star Sarah Palin’s trashing of former bosom buddy Karl Rove.

We don’t particularly enjoy watching people writhe in misery. The mean-spirited term “bleeding heart” isn’t completely off for describing liberals. We really DON’T like seeing people suffer. But in politics, as in nature, there is a circle of life (thank you, Disney). Someone is going to win and someone is going to lose. And well…we’re going to win. It’s just best that way, right?

The GOP is doing a great job of the “divide and conquer” tactic; and the Democratic Party isn’t having to do anything to move them towards annihilation. We don’t even have to play a role in the “divide.” We are just sitting back with our popcorn watching in awe as they divide on their own. But rest assured that when it’s time to win some 2014 seats in Congress, and most certainly the presidential election in 2016, we will be there to conquer. They’ll be nicely divided by then.

Without mentioning his name, of course – in true Palin-esque fashion – Palin threw some nasty barbs at Karl Rove, a fellow GOP nut-job.

“The last thing we need is Washington, D.C., vetting our candidates,” Palin said. “The architects can head on back to the great Lone Star state and put their names on some ballot.” (USA Today)

Palin is referring to Rove’s plan to only back “electable” candidates with his American Crossroads PAC. He has this crazy idea that the right-wing LUNATICS (Todd Akin et al) may not be electable. Really! What a strange thought. No wonder people with the foresight of Sarah Palin would be alarmed.

Watch Palin trash Rove.

But Rove isn’t defenseless. After bashing him at CPAC, Sarah Palin got a dose of her own medicine (unfortunately not psychotropic) from Karl Rove on “Fox News Sunday.”

“Well, first of all I live in Texas and not Washington. Second of all, look Sarah Plain should be agreeing with this. She didn’t support Todd Aiken and when he said the reprehensible things he said. she said he ought to get out of the race,” said Rove.  “If I did run for office and win, I’d serve out my term. I wouldn’t leave office mid-term,” Rove said. (NY Daily News)

Rove was referring, of course, to Palin’s infamous exit from the office of Governor of Alaska in 2009 after serving half a term. I’m thinking that a governor gig is actually quite a bit of work for very little money. Book deals and reality TV shows are significantly more lucrative.

Watch Rove trash Palin right back.

Ouch! The GOP cannibalism is getting uglier by the day. 2014 can’t get here soon enough!
