Gun Company CEO Hints At Assassinating Obama – ‘Murder’ May Be Necessary (VIDEO)

James Yeager, CEO of Tactical Response in Camden, Tennessee, has gotten himself into a bit of hot water – and unwittingly made a very strong case FOR gun control.

Yeager, whose bio says he has taught “thousands” to be “successful in lethal force confrontations,” publicly posted a video yesterday insinuating threats against President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and any number of others, should one single restriction be placed on gun control.

Referring to Biden’s upcoming recommendations on gun control measures following the Sandy Hook shooting, Yeager falsely claims that Obama is going to issue executive orders to ban assault rifles (retroactively, apparently), and has this to say about it (See the NSFW video):

F—k that. I tell you, if that happens it’s going to spark a civil war and I’ll be glad to fire the first shot. I am not putting up with it, you shouldn’t put up with it. I need all you patriots to start thinking about what you’re going to do, load your damn mags, make sure your rifle’s clean, pack a backpack with some damn food in it, and get ready to fight.

I’m not f–king putting up with this. I am not letting my country be ruled by a dictator. I’m not letting anybody take my guns. If it goes one inch further, I am going to start killing people.

Let’s take a moment to dissect:

  • No American ever threatens to kill the President of the United States.
  • This guy thinks a “civil war” will happen if any gun control passes. Abraham Lincoln was President during the last civil war, and he was assassinated with a gun. Who is Yeager going to “fire the first shot” at – random people or Obama – the man Yeager fears will unilaterally take away his guns? That’s a question Secret Service agents should be asking him right about now.
  • He’s actually telling people to load their weapons and get ready to fight – literally. In the follow-up video (below), he makes clear he’s not kidding.
  • He makes a direct reference to “not letting my country be ruled by a dictator” right before saying “I am going to start killing people.”
  • Civil war, loaded weapons, dictator, firing shots, killing people – how much more clear could Yeager be about what he’s planning to do?!

Then, there’s the rather unapologetic follow-up video released today, where Yeager announces he edited the part of the first video where he threatens murder (full version above courtesy of Crooks and Liars). He also says: “I don’t retract any of my statements.”

Yeager then rips into people who criticized him in the last 24 hours, calling his first video a “disservice to the gun community” (see video; also NSFW):

F—k you. Our country wasn’t founded by f—king fair-weather pu—ies. Either you’re in or you’re out…If you’re not prepared to go all the way [assassination?], then you’re not prepared to go anywhere.

I don’t condone anybody doing anything rash. I do not condone anybody committing any kind of felonies, up to and including aggravated assaults or murders, unless it’s necessary…You have no idea how many people that sent me emails and texts and called me and said “Right on, my sh-t’s clean, my bag’s packed, you tell me when and where.” You have no idea how quickly I accidentally assembled an army – I assure you, a quite formidable army. But now’s not the time, it’s not time yet. It is time to get ready – start working out, start stretching, start practicing.

No, Yeager’s not advocating “murder” – not unless it’s “necessary.” After seeing this rant, are you leaning more toward stricter gun control? I certainly don’t want this volatile dude to carry out plans to kill people, armed with assault rifles complete with extra magazine attachment (photo is from his public Facebook profile — lovely tattoos):

Obama could not – and is not planning to try to – retroactively ban assault rifles by executive order. There are at least two problems with that: first, Congress would need to pass the bill. Secondly, the bill Sen. Dianne Feinstein introduced would not make existing guns illegal – just the future sale.

Here’s what Obama could possibly do by executive order – without congressional approval, as reported by The Atlantic and The Washington Post:

  • Modernize the background check system, such as by incorporating more information, like a potential buyer’s history of mental illness
  • Have the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives share more information with state and local officials about gun purchases that could be illegal
  • Limit importation of assault rifles
  • Other unspecified changes to federal mental-health programs

These aren’t really the kind of things to go ballistic over.

James Yeager’s business, Tactical Response, trains “good people to kill bad people,” according to its Facebook page, and provides “the highest-end firearms and tactical training possible.” Yeager used to work as a private security contractor in Iraq and as a Firearms and Tactics Instructor and undercover narcotics sting assistant with the Camden, Tennessee Police Department.
