Rush Limbaugh Laments The ‘Old Days’ When Sexual Harassment Was Cool

I normally would not give this man – or anyone like him – even the briefest moment of my time. But today I am making an exception.

On today’s edition of Premiere Radio Networks’ The Rush Limbaugh Show, host and famed conservative blow-hard Rush Limbaugh went on a tirade against liberalism, of all things, for the alleged sexual harassment mess in which Republican presidential candidate and pizza mogul Herman Cain has recently found himself.

Now, again, typically I would not even comment, as I am sure the hundreds of thousands of bloggers, Twitter-ers, commentators, pundits and more can do a far better job than I ever could at putting this miserable excuse for an American in his proper place. But, listening to the 6-minute clip, I just could not stop the involuntary “face-to-palm” reflex every 20 seconds or so.

Momentarily forgetting that politicians on both sides of the aisle have been accused of sexual misconduct in one form or another since time immemorial, Limbaugh asserts that now, more than ever, so-called “roaring liberalism” is to blame for what he refers to as “sexist politics” in which rich, powerful men – as moronically ironic as it may seem – are the real victims.

“Political correctness…has now spread to behavior,” the radio host squealed, adding that “sexual harassment now is a political weapon.”

According to Rush, men – especially empowered politicians – must reluctantly and woefully “watch what they say” around everyone from “busy-body” feminists to “panty-waste” liberals in fear of – gasp! – being deemed as a veritable offensive fuck-tard.

Obviously having masturbated to far-too-many episodes of AMC’s Mad Men – where wealthy, white males in the early 1960s unabashedly assaulted female colleagues with verbal innuendo that delicately tread between sexy and slimy – Rush laments the loss of an apparently better, simpler time to our now “politically correct” sexual environment in which a women’s male boss “can’t even say ‘hey baby’”:

“What [now] appears to be ‘inappropriate’,” he yells, subtly recalling the uber-sensitivity of who he refers to as Femi-Nazis, “in the ‘old days’ was nothing!”

You hear that, ladies? It’s “nothing” to – as Sharon Bialek, one of Cain’s accusers, alleges – physically and verbally assault a woman in pro-active retribution for employment:

“Bialek said she went to dinner with Cain to ask for help finding another position. After driving from the restaurant, she said, Cain parked the car and then ‘suddenly reached over and put his hand on my leg, under my skirt and reached for my genitals. He also grabbed my head and brought it towards his crotch.’

“When she expressed shock, she said Cain told her, ‘You want a job, right?’”

AMC's Mad Men

Oh, the nerve of the fascist, liberal, Femi-Nazis – what with their desire for equal treatment, fair pay and mutual respect. They should know better, right Rush?

“You women,” continued Limbaugh, “why don’t you just make it official and put on a burka and nobody will touch ya.”

Got that, girls? Shape up or ship out. Obviously rich men – co-workers, bosses, politicians, whatever – simply cannot control themselves NOT to ogle your lady parts and try to snag a taste here and there. So lighten up. If you can’t, then you had better just cover up, from head to toe. You know, kind of like what the Qu’ran says:

“Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks all over their bodies. That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

I guess Rush converted to Islam?
