Justin’s Daily Sleepy Time Thought: 8-14-2011

It never ceases to amaze me just how positive people are that science is wrong about things they don’t want to admit are real. The part that REALLY makes my head spin is the utter lack of knowledge of the basic principles of science that they should know from high school if not earlier. Without that, how can you possibly think you know what the frakk you are talking about?

Seriously, if your entire argument against evolution being an indisputable reality is that scientists still call it a “theory,” I literally hate you. With every fiber of my being. And I hope you wake up with a flu that evolved to beat only YOUR immune system. Serves you right.

When people state their “opinion” with absolute authority on a subject that they haven’t bothered to actually take the time to understand it makes my skin crawl. If you can’t be bothered to educate yourself about something as simple as what a theory is but still hold an unshakable (and incorrect) opinion on it, how am I supposed to take anything you say seriously?

You think the Earth is only 6000 years old and I’m supposed to believe you have the SLIGHTEST idea on how to fix the economy?

You think humans were made from mud and I’m supposed to follow your lead on health care reform?

You think that a flood killed all life on the planet but then the water just all went away without a trace and YOU’RE going to determine what level of industrial waste is OK for MY kids to be exposed to?

Hell frakking no!

All presidential nominees should have to take the Regents exams that high school students in New York take. If they don’t score at least 80% in English, science, social studies, American history and world history they should be automatically disqualified from running for higher office.

No one wants a moron running their country. Except for conservatives, that is…
